While the ruling party tries to resolve its internal disputes, Ángel Tamariz was seen with the Head of Government, Clara Brugada, at an event in Iztapalapa, where they inaugurated football fields and presented Xoli, the official chatbot for the World Cup. In the capital's Congress, it is still unknown what will happen to the seat vacated by Fernando Zárate, who will begin working at the federal Ministry of Health. The Morena parliamentary group has not yet decided whether it will assume the functions corresponding to the suppléte position. If this happens, Camila Martínez, the federal communications secretary of Morena, could take the seat, but her departure from the CEN is not well-regarded at the federal level. For now, the capital's ruling party is not resolving its internal disputes as time becomes a critical factor. The scenario is different from Tamariz's previous situation, when he was a fugitive from justice. Some sectors believe he should swear in again, meaning he would not have violations. Despite national tensions, the PT reaffirms its unity with Morena in the CDMX. At the same time, the ruling party has not resolved the legal or political situation regarding a possible refusal by Ángel Tamariz to assume his legislative duties. The coordinator, Xóchitl Bravo, provided no details and asked to wait for decisions from the Head of Government. Meanwhile, Ángel Tamariz's presence at the Iztapalapa event did not go unnoticed in the local Congress. As detailed by LPO, his suppléte is Ángel Tamariz, the head of ADIP, but the Head of Government, Clara Brugada, does not look favorably upon him leaving his current functions before the World Cup. Some sectors of the ruling party warn that Morena has little time to confirm the succession of Fernando Zárate, citing the precedent of former PAN coordinator Christian von Roehrich. In December 2024, the seat holder requested a leave of absence and his suppléte had to assume the seat to approve the designation of Bertha Alcalde as the capital's prosecutor. Legal interpretations arise again because some sectors consider that, having taken the oath in the past, he is already obligated to return to the Legislative Power, and therefore any absences he may have would be considered violations.
